Each  year, we have the very difficult task of sorting through hundreds of images to find a unique cultural, climbing or action shot that best reflects the festivals.

2005 marks the 30th anniversary of the Banff Mountain Film Festival and this year we chose the spectacular mountain image Sunset on Les Drus above Argentière, France taken in Chamonix by adventure photographer Cameron Lawson to feature on our annual brochure, film and book festival posters.
