The Banff Mountain Book Festival wishes to thank the writers, the photographers, their editors and publishers for entering this year’s competition. The book festival received 101 entries from 10 countries in this 16th annual competition. The 2009 festival jury includes Stephen Goodwin (United Kingdom), Susan E.B. Schwartz (United States), and Jon Popowich (Canada). Winners of the following awards will be announced in advance of the festival, on Thursday, October 29, 2009. The awards will be presented on stage at the book festival during the evening presentation on Thursday, November 5. The winners will be on display in the Reading Room at the festival.
