Appearing in person: Conrad Anker
George Mallory was obsessed with becoming the first person to conquer Mount Everest. Last seen 250 metres below the summit in 1924, he disappeared into legend as the clouds rolled in. His death stunned the world. Seventy-five years later, climber Conrad Anker found Mallory’s frozen body with his belongings intact. The only thing missing was a photograph of his wife, Ruth, which Mallory had promised to place on the summit. Haunted by Mallory’s story, Conrad returns to Everest to unravel the mystery of his disappearance. The film is narrated by Liam Neeson and features the voices of Ralph Fiennes and the late Natasha Richardson.
