Dave Dalman
During the development of the Regional Forest Management
Strategy for Banff National Park, Dave was the Ecosystem
Secretariat Manager for the Banff Field Unit, Parks
Canada. In this capacity, Dave had responsibilities for
the coordination of the park science program and
direction for the planning, GIS, data management, and
environmental assessment programs. Dave chaired various
committees, including the Elk Advisory Committee, the
Aquatic Ecosystem Advisory Committee, the Transportation
and Utilities Advisory Group and participated in several
inter-agency committees including the Central Rockies
Ecosystem Interagency Liaison Group, Bow Corridor
Ecosystem Advisory Group, and the Eastslopes Grizzly
Bear Steering Committee. Prior to his arrival in the
Banff Field Unit in 1997, Dave was the C.O.O. of the Hot
Springs Enterprise Unit, the Superintendent of Prince
Alberta National Park, Saskatchewan, Area Superintendent
for the Trent Severn Waterway Heritage Canal and for
Woodside National Historic Site and Senior Planner for
the Ontario Regional Office of Parks Canada. Dave has
B.E.S. and M.A. degrees from the University of Waterloo.
