Michael Hanson: Six Deer
“I was supposed to meet a friend of mine to photograph a group of kids at the rope swing on a nearby lake. A miscommunication led to me driving around in good light alone with nothing to shoot. After being frustrated for almost an hour, I made a little noise and spooked the deer into raising their heads. Ten images later, I had a single frame of the deer facing the camera and nine of them running away. It was a lucky moment.”
